Chicago Stars, Illustrated. All Chicago Stars and the Stories Behind Them

Posted on March 23, 2015 by Phillip Thompson | 1 comment

Here’s the finished set of Chicago Stars and the subjects and stories they represent! One recent writeup said that the history here is “unapologetic.”  In the sense that the illustrated stars are not just another 100% Chicago tribute, that’s accurate. I included the bits of trivia around each subject that I thought were most interesting, possibly new even to seasoned Chicagoans. The Century of Progress in itself is one big blind spot to many Chicagoans.

What to do next? I think I’ll combine these stars with the illustrated blue bars and make a complete, 18″ x 24″ flag. Let me know if you’re interested.

My wife loves these stars and I wanted to get them for her for Christmas. Unfortunately they’re no longer listed on your site. Will you ever be re-issuing this work? Thank you,
