Chicago Flag series: The Water / Two Blue Bars

The next-to-final piece to the Chicago flag is, of course, the blue: Two blue bars, with the top representing the North branch of the Chicago River and the bottom representing the South branch of the Chicago River. Surprisingly, Lake Michigan was not *officially* represented by either star.

Other than the blue bars, the flag’s white bars represent the three major geographical areas of the city: North, West, and South. I haven’t figured out how those will figure into the final…
