Ballparks of the North Side
Dimensions: 11" x 17"
This print features the historic and current homes/ballparks of the Chicago Cubs, a team whose history goes back to 1870. The pre-Wrigley ballparks are based in large part on the thorough research in the fantastic and just-published book, Before They Were the Cubs, by Jack Bales. Though there is limited visual record of those pre-Wrigley parks, Jack found a number of descriptions from newspaper of the time.
This illustrated piece was made for the fan who loves history, Chicago, and the long legacy of baseball on the North Side of Chicago. It was drawn originally in pen and ink by hand.
Each print is signed and is printed on an acid-free, beautiful and natural-tone 100% cotton paper.
